The Pacific Episode 4 / The Pacific Part 4 - The hero of the war on the Pacific, Sgt. John Basilone was the focus in HBO's documentary of their highly acclaimed mini-series, The Pacific. In the documentary entitled, Legacy of a Hero, Dianne Hawkins, niece of Sgt. John Basilone will be featured where she interviews some of the surviving John's war buddies during their ordeal at Guadalcanal in the the war at the Pacific. Hawkins, who is an actress herself, have just came from Iwo Jima where her uncle had died fighting during the invasion of Japan said that hearing stories about her uncle has made a new meaning in her life.
